On the podcast today, we sit down with Australian street artist, fine artist, and NFT artist Tom Gerrard, who has been at his street practice since the 90s, when he started painting the iconic heads that would be a staple in his art for decades to come.
Extending his art practice beyond the streets, Tom broke into the fine art market some years ago, bringing his unique aesthetic into galleries and making a name for himself across the entire art spectrum. Most recently, that has extended into the NFT market.
Initially knowing nothing about NFTs, a visit with a psychic and a subsequent spontaneously playing podcast saw Tom re-examine his digital art practice and try his hand at NFTs. Just one year on, with some NFT earnings in his wallet, Tom has now founded his own marketplace and works to encourage his favourite artist into the NFT space.
